About this Training
Have you ever attended a conscious dance event and wondered how such a powerful and cohesive sense of community is created?
That deep group field doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created through the steady attention and devoted presence of an embodied facilitator—someone who weaves practical skills with intuitive guidance to lead dancers into the journey, stay present with them throughout, and gently guide them back out again in a way that supports grounding and integration.
In our vibrant learning community, you’ll learn proven somatic tools and embodiment techniques to integrate into your existing skill set, all within an atmosphere of fun, support, and collaboration. Our teaching team includes facilitators from diverse backgrounds and modalities, all of whom have many years of training and practical, on-the-dance-floor experience.
Whether you're a dancer, event organizer, DJ, therapist, yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, or other wellness professional, you’ll leave equipped to guide transformative dance experiences.

The Location
Located between the Tabernas Desert and the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Níjar, Almería, Oasis Al Hamam is a peaceful retreat centre surrounded by gardens, orchards, and desert landscapes at the foot of the Sierra Alhamilla mountains. The name “Al Hamam” refers to the natural sulfur baths that once existed here, known for their therapeutic properties since the 19th century.
Originally built as a thermal bathhouse, the Cortijo Los Baños has been lovingly restored to preserve its natural Andalusian charm while offering the comfort and facilities of a modern retreat space, including a pool and haimas inspired by the exotic riads of Morocco. The result is a sanctuary where silence, creativity, and connection unfold naturally — a place for wellbeing and transformation of body, mind, and spirit.

WHAT OUR ALUMNI SAY

Oana, Romania
Founder of Ecstatic Dance Sibiu
I’ve been attending Ecstatic Dance events for several years and started organizing my own events last year, so I came in with some experience. Still, this course genuinely shifted my perspective. In just one week, I learned an incredible amount... the subtle best practices that make the difference between a good event and a truly impactful one. The team, led by Bernice and Mikaela, brings a rare combination of professionalism, warmth, and deep attention to detail. The learning was intense and immersive, packed into just a few days — and balanced with many, many hours of dancing, which made everything land in the body, not just the mind. Beyond the content itself, one of the most valuable parts of the experience was the group. I met truly amazing people and built friendships that I know will last.

Felippe, Italy
Co-Founder of Ecstatic Dance Bologna
Throughout the week, I witnessed and felt transformation in everyone, participants and team alike. Just like every dance, the training itself became a big, beautiful hold, where each of us could shift, unfold, and remember who we are. I return home with a clearer vision, a fuller heart, and a deep sense of belonging. I feel truly part of a global community, and I’m committed to sharing what I’ve learned—with a humble and open heart. And yes, Dance is the Medicine.

Dr Mariennelle PhD
Professor, Nurse & Grief-Facilitator
This experience was so much more than a training… it was a remembrance of who I am... every single soul who gathered became part of something that is hard to put into words… family, community, a shared heartbeat... Dance the Medicine is not just about movement. It is about presence… the freedom to be as I am... Through it all, I felt supported, witnessed, and safe... I left remembering the medicine is already within me... This is something that stays with you… far beyond the trip itself. Thank you for holding such a beautiful and sacred space"
